Portable displays: plan the full customer approach

Choose the display around its job

A tall display can introduce your brand at a booth or reception. An A-frame can point people toward an entrance. A backdrop can give an event a consistent setting. Check the selected product’s intended environment and hardware; do not assume an indoor retractable stand is suitable outside.

Keep the important content visible

Place the business name and main message where people, tables or display products will not block them. Make a quick paper mockup of the layout and view it from the customer’s approach. Save long descriptions for a handout or landing page.

• Use one main message for each display.
• Keep QR codes accessible for customers who can stop safely.
• Check artwork dimensions against the hardware template, including any hidden or reserved area.

Check printing and hardware together

A replacement graphic must match its stand or frame; the visible dimensions alone may not be enough. Confirm the exact hardware model, finished graphic size and attachment method before ordering a print-only replacement. Approve front and back artwork separately when the two sides differ.

Set up with the supplied instructions

Check that the feet, base and supports are correctly assembled on a suitable surface. With a retractable graphic, control it as it returns into the base instead of letting it snap back. Keep packing components together and follow the hardware’s handling instructions. Place freestanding displays clear of exits and walking routes.

Build a useful event follow-up

Pair the display with a card or handout customers can keep. Send its QR code to one useful action: a product quote, appointment or offer page. Record the event source when a visitor gives contact permission. Follow up on the specific product discussed, with clear options and a next step instead of a generic sales message.
